Residential Product Specifications
When paying the electric company to run your air conditioner, the unit typically takes the heat from your home and releases it outside. You then have to pay them more to heat water for your dishwasher, shower, and washing machine.
Instead of having to pay the electric company twice, our AQUEFIER® Heat Recovery Unit can capture heat discharged from your air conditioner or heat pump and use it to create hot water for your water heater tank. This can significantly increase the efficiency of systems throughout your home while reducing utility bills and reliance on fossil fuel energy.
The AQUEFIER® works by drawing water from the coldest part of your water heater tank when your air conditioner is running. This water runs through our heat exchanger, where it is heated by the hot refrigerant from your HVAC system. The hot water is then returned to your water heater for use throughout your home.

- Safe and reliable operation. Our available units can safely heat domestic water to 140 °F while recovering heat from a residential air conditioner or heat pump of up to 60,000 Btuh capacity.
